ALEXANDREA MULLIGAN (Family Law)
In June of 2007, after completing her legal education at Osgoode Hall Law SchooI , Alexandrea was called to the Ontario Bar. She has been practising in all areas of Family Law since that time. She began her legal career as an articling student and junior associate at well-established boutique and full-service Family Law firms located in the Greater Toronto Region or Downtown Core - mainly dealing with high net-worth separations. After several years, she decided to relocate to Durham Region, spending the largest portion of her career as a sole practitioner. This enabled her the time to pursue additional interests in the area of law, such as pro bono work, impacts of domestic violence, and access to justice.
As such, Alexandrea has experience acting as duty counsel, presenting the mandatory information program (MIP) which provides knowledge about the court process to family court participants, and volunteering for several years at a domestic violence clinic as both a Legal Advisory Board member and a member of their Pro Bono Legal Clinic. '
She has also had the privilege of participating in several research projects as both a law student and legal professional which focused on access to legal justice and legal aid.
Alexandrea is well versed in both negotiation, drafting agreements, and court. In addition, she is trained in collaborative law.
